STORYTELLER. ADVENTURE LOVER. FULL TIME THIRD WHEEL.
I am Michael and I am a storyteller for intimate and non-traditional weddings. Before I began shooting weddings, I was an award winning cinematographer, director & editor.
Forming friendships and being a part of your extraordinary story is part of why I love my job. I find it difficult to call what I do for a living “work” at all.
I can’t wait to meet you and your partner and learn all about your story and your big day. You can frolic through a field during golden hour and I’ll third wheel you with my camera.
I’ll be your biggest fan, I promise.
What Inspires you?
I’m inspired by the outdoors, indie folk/70s-80s music, a clear night sky, but most of all the warmth and beauty of sunsets. I really love the concept of something beautiful that’s very different every time it is experienced.
I think about this concept when approaching wedding films. I’ve shot lots of weddings, many at the same venue, but what makes each wedding film unique and beautiful are the people and the stories they have.
Being a film school graduate, I am a huge fan of movies that not only tell great stories, but also make the audience FEEL something. There’s nothing like watching a Pixar/DreamWorks movie and being able to relate to the overall theme of the film. That’s my approach to storytelling as well, the narrative has to make the person watching it FEEL something.
I’m also incredibly obsessed with dogs. If there’s a dog at your wedding, let me know so I can show up 20 minutes early to pet and snuggle them.

Here’s what taught me the importance of my job
This is my mom and dad’s vows from their 3.5 hour long wedding film. I will always advocate for the importance of wedding films. Hearing the words and seeing the emotions unfold in this medium is just on a whole other level than photos. Video is so so important!
